My Trip to Centcom

While we were waiting for our flight from Qatar to Amsterdam, we helped some of our Armory friends clean some of the weapons in their arsenal. After cleaning about 80 weapons, we decided to take a photo-op and this is just one example of the many photos we took with the weapons. Take a peek in the gallery.

Finally Home!!!

Amsterdam

Ray & I just got back to the United States after our 2 month deployment to Iraq. It feels GREAT to be home. On our flight back, we were fortunate enough to catch a 6 hour lay-over in Amsterdam, Holland and we took the opportunity to go out and see some sights. Unfortunately it was 7am when we finally got downtown and most everything was closed, but it was still a lot of fun to the see the city and I definitely want to plan a trip back in the near future for a few days. I can’t believe how many bicycles saw while we were there. Okay well more later.

Coming Home Soon!

CENTCOM Pictures

My deployment to Iraq is coming to an end soon and I can definitely say that I’ve had enough. It’s been a great experience to see all the different bases out here and help out in small way. If all goes as planned, I’ll be back to the mainland in less than two weeks. I’ll be picking up a rental car in Maryland and driving out to spend a 6 days with my parents before flying back to Hawaii. Right now it looks as though I’ll be back in Hawaii on the 27th of March. See you all soon!!! I can’t wait.

Hanging with the Natives…

It’s been nearly two months now since I left Hawaii and I can honestly say that I’ve never been more excited to get back home. I’ve been to pretty much every site there is to see out here in Iraq, Kuwait, and Qatar and I’m pretty burnt out. In our first two weeks alone, we racked up a solid 236 hours of work.

After fifty some odd days of seventeen hour sessions, I’ve had enough. I can’t wait to come back to my little rock and see everyone. Take care and with any luck, I’ll be back before the end of the March!
