Jenny in Labor

One of my best friends, Jesse, and his girlfriend Jenny are expecting their first child, Natalie to be born in the next few hours. I’ve been visiting the hospital every few hours and am really excited for both of them. I wish them the very best!

Acquisition P2P is Fantastic

Acquisition P2P

It’s been a while since I’ve written anything pertaining to software reviews but the latest version of Acquisition (v.2.0) is incredible. Utilizing both GNUtella and BitTorrent, Mac users have unfettered access to billions of files in a streamlined, easy to use interface. From start to finish the program has been designed to seamlessly integrate with iTunes and can preview/play media directly from within the client.

Acquisition is shareware and at $24.00 USD it’s well worth the nominal fee. My only gripe was that I recently purchased version 1.1 a few months back and was not given a path to upgrade for free.

Check out XTorrent 1.1 from the same software developer. They are rock solid!

Blue Angels come to KBay

2007 Blue Angels over Kaneohe Bay

This past weekend my friends and I headed to the Marine Corps Base in Kaneohe for an incredible air show featuring the US Navy Blue Angels. A few months earlier, we saw the USAF Thunderbird’s down at Waikiki Beach but the Blue Angels’ performance was MUCH more exhilarating. It really makes me wish I had become a pilot. We also got to meet Patty Wagstaff and see her fly her Extra 300. She’s old enough to be a grandmother and still kicks ass in the skies.

A week in Kauai

Overlooking PMRF

Just got back from a week away on business in Kauai. It was absolutely beautiful. I would liken it to a Tropical West Virginia, very rural in comparison to Oahu. The island is chock-full of scenic beauty but I didn’t really get too much time away from work to go exploring. Take a look at my Flickr Photostream for some great pix taken with my Apple iPhone.
